Te Heke Mai Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information (defined in Privacy Act 2000 or its successors, “Privacy Act”) that is collected as part of the Te Heke Mai Platform
www.tehekemai.co.nz (“site”) and should be read along with the Terms applying to the Platform.
pAI2 limited (we/us) have developed and run this Te Heke Mai Platform for the Ministry of Social Development (MSD). Information collected through the Platform is held by us and MSD receives anonymised aggregated information about the Users, and also your name, date of birth and programme entry and exit dates.
If we no longer provide the Platform, we will have to pass your information to MSD or another provider of their choice so they can continue to run the service. You will be notified if this occurs and may opt out from sharing your data.
Personal information
Personal information collected through Te Heke Mai will be held securely by us as required by the Privacy Act.
For Users we collect name, DoB, gender, email, phone number, and information you choose to input to the Platform or communicate to us through another method, such as:
- Maintaining your account
- Entering content for profiles or reviews
- Communication with us or 3rd parties through the Platform
Use and disclosure
We will use your personal information for the purpose of providing the Te Heke Mai service to you and other Users, communicating with Users, for safety and security reasons, for analysis of Platform usage and content, and in other situations permitted under the Privacy Act.
Information we share with MSD
As part of our arrangement with MSD we provide them with reports containing anonymised information about the Platform and its Users. We may provide MSD your name, date of birth, and Platform usage data so they can evaluate and report on Te Heke Mai, and understand what further support to offer you.
Except as above we do not share your personal information with others unless you authorise us to do so, or where this is necessary for the purpose for which you gave us the information, or where the Privacy Act permits, such as when there are safety reasons for disclosing it.
Information we share at your request
We may share relevant information with other persons if you provide us with a consent form signed by you asking us to do so. You can ask for that information sharing to stop at any time, just let us know in writing.
Analytics
We analyse non-identifiable web traffic data to improve our services and we may use 3rd party services to analyse web traffic data for us. We own the data that is generated and use it to administer and improve the Platform. For instance, we may collect information about:
- search terms used
- pages accessed on the Platform and the links clicked on
- dates and times of usage
- referring sites through which the Platform is accessed
- operating systems
- types of browsers or other apps used
The data collected is aggregated and is not personally identifiable. IP addresses are masked so they cannot be used to identify individuals. Our analytics will respect any “do not track” setting you might have set on your browser. We use cookies on our site to allow particular features to work. We also use tracking cookies to track and analyse non-personally identifiable data about Platform usage. You can choose to opt out of our tracking cookies without affecting your ability to use the site.
